About The Event
Hear from Mike (Aliki Sapountzi's son!) about his 7 month, 8000km, almost thirteen Everests worth of climbing cycle ride from his father's home country of England to his mother's home country of Greece. He'll be talking about hunting for Roman aqueducts, learning the ancient Kanun laws of Albania, meeting the Amazigh people of Tunisia. Cycling in remote parts of the most landmined country in the world. Sandstorms, scorpions, midnight boars, real forests, a whole load of 'sweet grav’ and coming face to face with the climate and refugee crisis.
The talk is Pay What You Feel - and also feel free to bring your own refreshments!
There's no need to book, but if you can drop Mike a line it'll help make sure there's the righ amount of chairs!
