About The Event

It is 1660. The Puritans have run away with their drab grey tails between their legs. King Charles II has exploded on to the scene with a love of all things loud, French and sexy. At Drury Lane, a young Nell Gwynn is selling oranges for sixpence. Little does she know who's watching...

How on earth does a King meet someone from the sleezy streets of London, you may well ask? Well…obviously, he goes to the best place to spot talent… the theatre!

Ambitious mistresses, stroppy Queens… in all senses of the word…oh dear, is that expression acceptable these days? Anyway, this play has the lot!

Age Restriction: Unsuitable for under 16s. Contains Adult themes and language.
